I am new to this forum. I recently bought a 2015 Mercedes GLK250 Bluetec and I am looking for diagnostic tools/software. My experience is limited to the Mercedes E300TD Turbodiesel (I had 2 of them, 1997 and 1998). I owned them for 12 years and loved them. I did all the maintenance myself like oil changes, glow plugs, radiator, alternator, brakes, brake lines, exhaust. I want to learn as much as I can about the GLK250. I would appreciate any suggestions. I tried different scanners iCarsoft v2 (mine) and v3, TOPDON AD500S and AD600S, Foxwell NT530, Launch X431 and I don't think they suit me.

Buy VXDIAG VCX SE for Mercedes and install Xentry program, it will work much more correctly.
Launch X431 is suitable for individual users.

As far as I remember and judging by the photos I took when running Launch X431, I was unable to initiate DPF regeneration even though it was necessary. When starting DPF regeneration, no icon appears to confirm your intention to do so. Component testing is also not supported. I believe it cannot display the percentage of clogging of the DPF.

With Openport 2.0 you can already do a lot! I use it without any problems. It's cheap. That's enough for a start. You will need the Xentry Passthru version.

I also have to say that VXDIAG VCX SE is the best solution for Mercedes.
I also had a cheap Openport, oddly enough it was showing errors on control devices I didn't even install.
I don't have this problem with VXDIAG VCX SE for Mercedes. In my opinion, coding using Vediamo 5.01.01 and DTS Monaco is also safer.
Of course, the price is not exactly low, but for me it was worth it.
