I keep getting this message "2031 - no or incorrect CAN message from control unit BCM", whenever I scan the car, my main problem was misfire, I don't know if this is related.
But how can I fix this error?
My car is S600 2009.
What is a BCM and why is it used in an engine scan?

BCM = Battery Control Module. Usually, when it fails, problems arise with charging the batteries or with discharging them.

Any ideas on its location?

Usually in the trunk, on the right side wall, near the battery.

Thanks, I'll check, but by the way, 2009 and later models don't have a battery in the trunk.

The battery control unit is located on the negative pole.

This is the battery sensor. The on-board network control unit is in the trunk to the right of the large battery. If we are talking about WDD221. Specify the VIN, then there will be an exact answer.

VIN: WDDNG76X89A258682
There is no battery in the trunk.

Check the coding in the SAM blocks.
