Hello,
Since this winter my instrument cluster of my Audi A4 B4 does not start at all. The problem already started in autumn where it toggled between reset an on-mode. But then after a few miles it got working. Maybe it's a problem of the capacitors which got dry after >20years.
Anyone who can help me?
Thank you.

Hi, I don't know if they went crazy with the model, I assume you have an A4 B6 2003? Unfortunately, it is quite common that they start to break, if you are a bit handy yourself you can fix it. Otherwise, there are companies that do this and you get a guarantee on the job

Hi, It's an A4 B5 2000 and the instrument cluster is from JAEGER. What I found so far is that it's likely that the processor is the root cause. Last week I changed all aluminium SMD capacitors but the problem still exists. Now I'm looking to find for a VDO cluster in eBay, hoping that the quality is better.
Is there a way to read the immobilizer code from a JAEGER?
I have the VCDS diagnostic system but unfortunately this can't extract the immobilizer code. The car has immobilizer 3 version.
VAG EEPROM Programmer is only useful for VDO cluster version.
Thank you.

If its immo3 you have the vin number is in ECU and cluster, also the same pin is ECU epprom and cluster epprom
Or do you have a cluster with a small LCD, produced by Jeager Magneti Marelli - as i know there is a motorola chip inside, it can be read by Vag TAcho.

Have you tried Vagtacho?

And you know you can swapp Imo in VCDS. have a look at this.

It's a cluster with s mall LCD and digital clock produced by Jaeger. There is a label sticker on the microcontroller, I can only read the first letter is a M, probably Motorola chip.
In some forums I read that VAGTacho does not support Jaeger clusters, therefore I have not purchased the SW.

Do you have a manual how to swapp Imo in VCDS? Is this possible without knowing the old Imo code?

Thanks for the video link :)
How to retrieve the Login Pins? Which SW would work for this?

I think VAGTacho is the best, but you ca 'n try Vag Commander if you wont,

Do I also need the login of the old cluster?
Where can I download VAGTacho and VAG Commander?
Thank you.
