Coding 722.9 to Start in 2nd Gear

Can anyone tell me how to code the VGS4NAG2 722.9 so that the car starts in 2nd gear? Mine always starts in 1st. I would like to change it like on the older models of my car so that it starts in 2nd gear. The position in E/C always starts from 1st gear.

Yes, it is enabled.

Set the gear shift to "S" mode to start from 1st gear. Set the gear shift to "W" or "E" mode to start from 2nd gear.

The car is in position "E" but still starts in 1st gear.

My engine ECU is CRD3.10 and my gearbox is VGS4NAG2.

Are you sure about this? Have you checked the actual DAS/XENTRY values?

Yes, 100%, my grandfather has the same car and he has the same.

If I don't come to a complete stop it will stay in 2nd gear, but if I come to a complete stop it will go to 1st gear.

What is the advantage of starting in 2nd gear from a dead stop? Just curious.
