Communication Error with ME2.8

I was wondering if anyone has had an issue with communication with the ME? I am getting an errors that say "Communication Error 8.594.2115" then another message "Communication software error". All other modules I have tried seem to be communicating fine. Occasionally it will give a 3rd error also. Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Also I am running Tactrix openport 2.0 passthru and XPT_23.12.3

Are you trying to change the encoding of the ME2.8 block? First, unlock the encoding block and be sure to do everything on IGN ON, the engine is turned off, the charger is connected! Usually such errors occur when a block refuses to fulfill a request.

No I am not trying to change the encoding. I am actually just trying to get into the module to read codes and look at data. No special functions or coding. I am sure I will use it for that at some point but for now just trying to get DAS to work correctly after a new install.

OpenPort does not work correctly via DAS with some units on older cars. To check, connect to ME2.8 via Vediamo 4.0 with OpenPort.

Have you tried changing to a different interface? I think the problem is caused by Tactrix.

I have not just because that is the only interface I have currently. Well technically I have a Star C3 multiplexer however I have not been able to get that to work at all. I am however pretty sure you are correct that it is the Tactrix interface.
