The cheap GODIAG J2534 (GD101) Passthru interface can be used with CLIP (I have no idea how good/bad it works with CLIP, but you must make sure firmware is up-to-date as CLIP compatibility was only introduced in the most recent firmware versions).
For CLIP to recognize this interface as a sensor you need to create a new registry entry for the interface and change some values.
I exported the modified registry entry so if you own this interface all you need to do is run and import it and it should work as a sensor in CLIP.

I couldn't start my GD101. I used the included software v2.3 to update the firmware from 1.9 to 1.10 and since then the adapter is not even recognized by this tool. But Defender recognizes the driver DLL as a Trojan.
The GD101 never showed up as a PT device in Device Manager, but someone told me that was normal and it worked for him anyway. Any ideas on how to downgrade the firmware to 1.9 or where to get a clean driver?

Try the following.
Uninstall the existing GD101 software and drivers from your computer and try reinstalling it after rebooting.
Temporarily disable your antivirus software.
Check Device Manager for the GD101 adapter.

Don't forget to restart your computer after installing the new driver and software.

I tried exactly this (in a safe environment) with no success - it was still only recognized as an unnamed USB serial device. I think they released a newer driver that doesn't work as a driver, but only as a virus installer. Since after updating the firmware the interface is not even recognized by the included update software, I would not even connect it to my car to prevent further damage.

I am trying to figure out how to get the GODIAG J2534 interface to work with CLIP v231 and W10 x64.
If anyone can help. Thank you.

Hi, I am not sure why you would want to do this? Just use one or the other, you can't have 2 devices talking to the car computer at the sometime. You could corrupt it and stop it from working.

If you are referring to how you can install both software on one laptop then use Virtualization technology to separate the software, so a separate W10 on each virtual machine, with respective software you want OR use 2 separate hard drives and swap then install W10 with each software you want.

Hope this helps!
