The program was specially rebuilt for MS Windows 10 and 11 to use MS Internet Explorer automatically from the operating system.
Internal simple HTTP server starts and closes automatically.

I tried the 2022 version found on another forum. As far as I understand, this is a fake or am I mistaken?
I'm still trying to fix my own car and thought something new will be but nothing.

You are right.
The last time Starfinder was grabbed in 2020 and with not very good quality.
Some "clever masters" took the 2020 version from open sources without any slightest modifications, added some files from my versions and named it 2022
There is no 2022 version, there is only FAKE.

After the October updates, Windows Internet Explorer 11 is no longer supported and is being redirected to Microsoft Edge.
The distribution has been updated to avoid this problem on all systems, regardless of update.
