Hi, my Mercedes E-Klass W213 has automatic headlights but a lot of people flash their lights at me, does this function not work at inteaded?
Most of the time I have just turned it off manually but lately i have been driving on a really long straight every morning and I can clearly see my light turning of where the car is, but they still flash their lights (mostly old cars).
How do you guys use this function?

You can check your basic settings for light height. Park your car for example 5m from wall, measure height from floor to center of bulb and compare it to light height in wall. If headlight for example have drop of 1% and 1m height to bulb, the light height in wall should be 95cm. And if not, adjust from headlight. But before that, check that axle levers are not broken.

The assistive high beam headlight may not turn itself off 100% on the approaching car. I would suggest to manually adjust the headlight projection angle but the whole process of assistive highbeam can be tempered since it works with other sensors. Maybe you can ask the offical Merc shop whether the assistive highbeam is not tempered even if you change the beam projection angle.

Kmafus, high beam assist is a real POS on any brand. This together with blinding LED headlights is also dangerous for oncoming drivers.
I really don't now if OP is referring to high beam assist or headlight, so I tough I would help with I know.
