Mercedes ML 2009, gear selector fault code U0100, communication error with engine control unit, how to solve the problem, maybe someone has encountered it? Thank you.

If there is no oxidation in the connector, CAN is not disconnected, then the ISM unit must be replaced. But sometimes the problem is not in the ISM, but in the MRM. Specify the VIN and the result of the short test when asking a technical question. Electrical diagrams may be different.
