I have a W177. I replaced the old stereo and successfully removed the anti-theft protection by entering the code with DTS Monaco 9. So the basic functions, sounds, etc. are restored.
Navigation not working with code B154A00 Update Map Data - Database not activated for this car. I also see that the VIN number listed in the Navigation section is incorrect.
Other codes B19C100, B21A100, B1F9712.
I am using a genuine Tactrix. I would be grateful for any advice!

Did you install a new MBUX or was it on another car?

It was from another car.

Original car: WDD1770872V001985
Donor car: WDD1770872N012450

You need an additional code for navigation, I have replaced many HU (NTG 4.7, 5, 5S1) and always 2 codes are required as the navigation data is tied to the original VIN. You can try swapping the HDD from the old unit, but this is a lottery ticket since the data version must be the same for it to work.

In order to have navigation and CarPlay, you need to install the new MBUX.

If I'm not mistaken, the W117 uses NTG 5*1, not MBUX (at least the NAR version).

Try replacing the hard drive from the old device with the new one or try removing the maps that came with the donor unit.

His car is a 177, not a 117, so yes, he needs a new stereo for the navigation and CarPlay to work.
You can't use a used stereo.

The used radio is now fully functional and navigation, Mercedes ME works.

1. I got the anti-theft PIN and unlocked the radio with DTS Monaco (the radio worked, the sound played, but the configuration was wrong - the ambient light was on when the car was not started, etc.)

2. Mercedes specialist performed online coding using Xentry. At this point Mercedes ME returned, the correct menus were displayed.

3. I deleted Map data for the wrong VIN using Dealer Menu.

4. Used a USB and re-uploaded Mercedes Map Download Manager to install a new map database for the correct VIN (purchased the map PIN from eBay seller in Poland).

Thank you guys!
