Pedestrian System Disable on CLA 117

Can anyone help me disable the pedestrian detection system on the CLA 117? I have an active bonnet fault on the dash!

Post the HTML from ORC and I'll tell you exactly what to disable.

I tried to do this for a 2014 C207. The ORC had a newer firmware and the "Pedestrian Protection" coding option was removed so I had to buy new actuators, maybe someone else can do this.

Go to ORC, find DJ_login_level1 and unlock, then in the variant coding find "Pedestrian Protection". After changing it, you will have to lock it again. If you can't find the setting, your ECU firmware may be too new. If you don't lock the ECU, the airbag light will flash.

The bonnet actuators can be bypassed with a 1.6 ohm resistor. My problem is that the pressure sensor at the front of the car is missing. I don't know if I need to code a new one. I'm new to DTS Monaco so I don't know how to use it!

You can find videos on YouTube and elsewhere. Open ORC with DTS Monaco and go to the variant coding tab, then connect the ECU and look at the codings, they will explain it to you. I think I remember something like coding for the pressure sensor, but I think there should still be an option to turn off "Pedestrian Protection" since the pressure sensor is part of it.

There are options regarding PPS all off.

My own experience is that in 2013 and later versions of the software this feature was removed, so newbies (like me) can no longer do this.
