Problem with Rear View Camera W212

I have a problem with the rear view camera on my W212. It starts fine when I put it in reverse but after a few seconds it starts flickering and goes completely grey.

I have a Harman/Becker Android Auto unit that has a camera connected to it, so the interface gets the +12V signal from the reverse lights.
The funny thing is that the display starts up without the +12V signal cable.

If you have a camera with a cover, check if it stays open. If it opens/closes normally, the video/data cable (camera cable) may be broken.

Buy a new cheap Chinese camera, these things don't last long.

This may not be so easy as this camera uses a digital connection (not analog video) and if you install a new one, coding will be required.
