Anyone have any ideas? Is it possible to find out the real mileage of a car using Xentry?
I mean the real mileage, not the one shown on the odometer!

As far as I know, Mercedes-Benz dealers have never had external "key readers". There is some key data that is displayed in the DAS and Xentry when passing through the EZS or if you have the CANalyzer tool to read certain CAN messages sent through the drive authorization system. The CANalyzer tool is generally quite advanced and most technicians don't know how to use it or don't need it.

Most of the information provided is correct in the sense that to check the vehicle's mileage you need to go into several control units. If you suspect that mileage readings are being falsified, do not rely solely on data from one control module. You will be very surprised to find out which control units have any mileage data, so you just need to use...
Depending on the model, mileage, engine hours, etc. are recorded in different places in the shadow memory. What kind of car is this?

If you know where I can look this up and for what model, could you please share the list if it's not too much to ask?

I don't have a list and it would be unwise to publish it. There are two sides to everything, some want to know the real mileage, others want to hide it.

Any ideas where this information can be stored in MB C207 E350?

09.2009 W204 OM651 C220 CDI.

Yes, same question, where is it stored in W246?

On a Mercedes W204 I would definitely check EZS and ZGW, ASSYST PLUS service memory, ECU, FAP memory or DeNOX catalytic converter, SRS, ESP, TPM, COMAND, shadow memory to make sure there is no CAN blocker installed.

The best solution would be to have a digital list of services (printed or documented) and compare it using Xentry. When performing maintenance, it saves the mileage status (reset interval) in many places and then needs to be compared. If you don't have any history, even handwritten, I don't know how you can be sure of the real mileage. When I bought my W246, I remember my mechanic comparing the mileage on the door lock and some other places with my digital service document (issued by an official Mercedes service).

Some cars also sync the mileage with the keys when they are in use. I wonder if Xentry can access the key data when it is in the car? The SRS system, as mentioned above, is also good to check.
