Smart 451 start/stop

Hi everyone, I have a smart 451 mhd 71cv year 2010.
I would like to know if it is possible to deactivate the stop/start system permanently with a software change.

Hi,There is no permanent way to disable it as of yet.
You can program “Favorite” button (diamond icon) on the left side of the steering wheel to toggle the start system stop on and off.
Go to Settings / Gear Icon>Apps>Diamond Button>Short Press>Other>Auto Start/Stop

Thanks Cozmo for your reply.
But I don't have any buttons on my steering wheel.
I think this is only possible on some models subsequent to mine or with optional equipment that I don't have.
I will therefore always have to manually disengage the stop/start.

Hi Simone,
I have read on another forum that it is possible to disable Start/Stop on the 451 via software, (unfortunately the thread stopped with 'Solved').
The little information available states that the setting is protected by a seedkey so Vediamo or DTS used for change, my best guess would be to look at the ECU or RSG parameters.
On the 453 I think this setting can be changed using DDT4ALL.

Cheapest solution... disconnect battery sensor. Start/Stop then deactivates but ECO light flashes 3 times each time engine is started. Battery is still charged though. Cost: 0 or you can build/buy a switching module to deactivate.

You need to disconnect this cable.

There is also a mod that automatically turns on the center button on every startup, resulting in a de facto "always off" Start/Stop. Costs about 25-50 euros depending on the source, will have to look for where I got it. Works flawlessly.

Find "Smart Fortwo 451 MHD Start/Stop Deactivation Automatic switch".
