I recently installed a camera with road sign recognition and needed to calibrate the camera. Here is a template, just print it on paper and you can calibrate the camera.
What size to print? Is it suitable for multifunction camera on W177.
And excuse me for the stupid question. How far from the car do you put it? Right in front of the car? And at what height?
1275 mm from the floor to the center of the target. Install directly in front of the bumper. It is better to place the target on a dark background. The engine must be running during calibration!
The image from Beissbarth makes me think it's not A4, given that the target mount can span the entire width of the car, but that's not easy to determine and Beissbarth doesn't provide any information on its dimensions.
Page 19. Apparently there are 2 types. One that is Mercedes-Benz only type 1, and one is for Mercedes-Benz/Infinity target type 2.
And another PDF with a little more information.
When you print a PDF, do you print "Actual size" or "Fit to page" under "Size" or "Print area"?
Also, do you need to center it on your device or camera?
It needs to be printed on an A4 sheet. In the options, select stretch to fit. The camera calibration procedure via Xentry will tell you at what distance and at what height the calibration card should be placed in front of the car. There should be no problems with this.
I did the calibration on W212 and W166. No problems! A4 sheet, I put an assistant with a sheet in his hands at the distance specified in Xentry, measuring from the floor and the bumper of the car.
