Today I will explain how to update SP data (SP-Daten files) using the BMW Coding Tool, which you can find for example at BMW Coding Tool 2.50.
First we need to open BMW Coding Tool and point to the folders where you installed NCS Expert, Ediabas, and WinKPF (NFS). This can be done from the settings menu as shown below.
In my case, the default folders were in the following locations:
Once you have completed setting up the default folders, you will need to specify the path to the SP-Daten files you want to update. This is done by pressing the Select SP-source button.
After specifying the path to the SP-Daten files, you can start updating them by clicking the Update SP-daten button. The tool will ask you if you want to create a backup first. Regardless of whether you choose to create a backup or not, a successful update process should look like the one below.
The last step of the process is to update WinKFP. A successful update process should look like this.
And that's it. You can close BMW Coding Tool.
