Upgrading from Audio 20 to Comand on a V-Class

Hi there,

My V-Class has Audio 20 and I want to upgrade it to the Comand version. I already bought a second hand unit (and display) and I would like to know if anyone can tell me what I need to do next. As I understood, getting a anti theft code would be a first step?

Yes first you need to rewire and once it is up and running will ask for antitheft PIN, once you get that sorted then you need to code it

By rewire you mean to install it, right? I think I can manage the anti-theft code, I have seen some places online which provide it. The coding part... I don't know what needs to be done exactly.

Yes installing it and also you might need to change couple of wires and pins. then coding can be done to the car specs by Vediamo or DTS Monaco

I understood there's no need to change anything "hardware" - it is plug and play on that side, just the coding.

Yeah, but I don't know what needs to be changed, coding wise. I'm new to all this, even Mercedes.
