Hello everyone. I have a problem with my VW Golf 5. When I turn the wheels all the way to the left, I hear a scratching noise. The suspension has already been replaced. What could be the issue?

I also had this problem with Golf 4.
The problem was with the power steering pump. Either the oil has run out or it is defective.
Check the fluids first. If it's really old oil, replace it. If this doesn't help, you may need to replace the power steering pump.

If this happens when actively turning the wheels, then it will be the power steering, as mentioned earlier, or the entire steering comb, the same problem on the Audi A4 :)

Check the steering rack to make sure the threads are the same on both sides. I have seen one case where it was rubbing and the rack moved one turn but was still aligned. Also, recording the sound always helps diagnose.

Check the brake dust shield. I had this problem before.
