VXDIAG VCX SE

I was wondering if anyone has used the VXDIAG VCX SE? It seems to be very similar to the SDconnect C4 but at a lower price. I have read a few reviews and people say the device works well, however I would like to hear from anyone who has experience using this device.

I use it. It works great for me. Tried it on W205, W211, W169. With Xentry, DAS and DTS Monaco everything works great. It's convenient that there is WiFi. In addition to Mercedes, I also opened a license for BMW and Ford. It still works well.

Please note that this will require another installation of Xentry. In this case, the Xentry OpenShell installation will not work. I have C4 and VCX SE on two different systems, both work great.

Any downsides that you know of? How fast is the connection? When you talk about open licenses, what exactly do you mean? Is there a fee for use or something?

As far as I know Passthru doesn't work with older cars, the connection speed is as it should be which is great and yes opening a different brand license will cost extra. Check the official website for all the details on that.

Yes, there are additional fees for each car model. As for the disadvantages, I think they are a bit high. Connect to see real-time speed values.

What does "Xentry OpenShell installation will not work" mean? What is "another installation"?
A couple of days ago I bought this device, installed a clean Windows 10 x64 system and XDOS and all functions work at first glance.
What I miss is that in all versions of XDOS that work with Caesar 06.2023 and above, the "lock on the VCX SE symbol" is not displayed at all. On earlier versions (03.2023 and earlier) everything is fine. But on older versions of XDOS there is no support for AddOns, only a standard installation.

I performed the test in Passthru mode (XPT 12.2023) on the table (without the car, just applied +12 volts) with the same VIN number. The test included VAS 5054A - test time 7 minutes 16 seconds. Scanmatik 2 PRO - test time 5 minutes 40 seconds. VCX SE - 3 minutes 7 seconds.

I've had the VCX SE for a while now, using it with DTS Monaco 8 and 9, as well as Xentry PassThru and OpenShell (separate installs). It works very well and is fast. If you switch between PassThru and OpenShell, you need to switch the device interface (in the included VCX Manager), but otherwise it's been flawless on my end. I've used it in WiFi mode, but it's been a bit unstable, so I recommend using it with a wired USB connection if possible.
