Hello, I was wondering if anyone has used the VXDIAG VCX SE? It sounds like it is very comparable to the SDconnect C4 but at a lower price point. Looking to get feed back about it if anyone has any? I did read some reviews on it and people had talked about it working well however I would not mind hearing from anyone in here that has experience with the device.

I'm using it Everything is going well for me. I tried it on W205, W211, W169.
Everything works fine with both Xentry, DAS and Monaco. It's convenient that there is wifi so I don't have to get hot while working. Besides Mercedes, I also opened license for BMW and Ford. It still works well.

Beware that it requires different Xentry installation. Xentry Openshell installation will not work with this. I have both C4 and VCX SE on two different systems both work just fine.

Any downsides to it that you know of? How is the communication speed? When you say open licenses, what exactly do you mean? Is there a fee to use it or something?

As far I know Passthrough does not work with older cars, communication speed is as it should be which is great and yea opening another brand license will cost extra. Look at vxdiagshop there is a full details about this.

Yes, there are additional fees for each vehicle model. As for the disadvantages, I think it's a bit to big. To connect to view real time values.

What does "Xentry won't work" mean? What is the "other installation"?
A couple of days ago I bought this device for myself, installed a clean Windows 10 x64 and XDOS system - all functions work at first glance.
What I'm missing is all versions of XDOS that work with Caesar 06.2023 and above - the "lock on the VCX SE symbol" is not displayed at all. On earlier versions (03.2023 and earlier), everything is fine. But on older versions of XDOS, there is no addons support - only the standard installation.

I conducted a test in Passthru mode (XPT 12.2023) on a table (without a car, just supplied +12 volts) with the same VIN number. The test included VAS 5054A - test time 7 minutes 16 seconds. Scanmatik 2 Pro - test time 5 minutes 40 seconds. VCX SE - 3 minutes 7 seconds.

I have had a VCX SE for a while, using it with DTS 8 and 9, as well as Xentry PassThru and OpenShell (separate installs). It works really well and is fast. If you switch between PassThru and OpenShell, you need to switch the interface of the device (in the supplied VCX Manager), but other than that, it's been flawless on my end. I have used it in Wifi mode, however, that has been a little flaky, so I suggest just using it with the wired USB connection, if possible.
