W 211 instrument cluster

Hi everybody! On a W211 220 CDI 2003 car, is there any way to display functions such as battery charge and oil temperature in the instrument cluster?

Only with switching to facelift cluster and enabling of the amg menu.

Hi, for battery charge you need to switch the key to pos. 1 and press the R Button 3 times ( the button left from the instruments cluster) then you will have a menu, where you can see your battery charging, service reset and so on.

This is what I have learned from the topic:
First, you need to have SW version late enough (2006/2007) with full language support.
(I do not know the options to update SW in W211 like in W212 within the family - 5-pot monochrome / 5-pot color / 3-pot color)

Check the EEPROM content starting from address 0210:

a) If you have “XX XX 19 00” you can change it to
"XX XX 39 00" = AMG menu
"XX XX 39 01" = AMG menu + Oil temperature
"XX XX 39 03" = AMG menu + Oil temperature + Battery voltage

b) If you have "XX XX 11 00" you can change it to
"XX XX 31 FF" AMG menu + Oil temperature + Battery voltage
