W166 GL Reverse Camera Not Working

Help please, rear view camera W166 GL does not work, malfunction in the head unit control unit, error code C264 "Communication with backup camera has a malfunction".

It is written there clearly as day and night that the signal from the corresponding module does not reach the camera, first check the wiring from the camera to the module to which it goes, if this does not help, check the camera.

Your COMAND system may need an update. Try installing the latest navigation discs, which also contain updates for the head unit. This seems to have fixed many people's camera problems.
