I tried to code Apple CarPlay in my 2021 W205 facelift model but I ran into an issue with the DTS Monaco software. I can't make the change permanent due to insufficient permissions caused by the diagnostic firewall.
To solve this problem I need to unlock the Electronic Ignition Switch (EZS). However, I can't figure out how to do this.
The control module in question is EIS22. I don't see a generic job that would provide access to the security system like there would be for the EZS167.
While searching I came across various suggestions, such as using different SMR-D files, but I tried some of them without success.
How to unlock EZS in this situation?

I bet the W205 MOPF has an EZS213 and not a 222 or 167.

When I connect the car to Xentry, I see EIS222 as EZS. What other ways are there to check the correctness of the EZS component?

Print out a quick test from Xentry and post it here.

W205 MOPF has EZS213 and may have diagnostic firewall so you need to find 3B security unlock diagnostic procedure to get permission to code. Although other control units may require calculation of the seed key.

Thank you, this helped, the changes are now saved.

Do you know that you can activate CarPlay from the hidden menu of your car radio without Xentry?

Could you explain?

How is this possible? I have never seen anything like this.

I have a 2021 W205.
When performing a 3B security unlock, you must send the key (27 3C) very quickly. If there is a delay, the key will not be accepted.
I haven't seen such problems before 2021.
I use OBD2 Y-cable.
Use Xentry to unlock EZS and quickly advance to DTS Monaco.
I hope this helps you.
