I'm going crazy on a W209. I turn the key, after a second the dashboard turns off and of course the light comes on. This is normal when the dashboard is off. Disconnecting the ABS panel is normal. The same if I disconnect the ABS from the internal connector.
I changed the ABS, and the panel, and made a new wire, nothing solved. Have you had a similar case?
