W219 Air Releasing

Recently changed my airmatic compressor and now I can hear air even when driving looks like a truck when it releases air. Could the compressor have a defect?

Do you have Xentry?
If yes, you can Test the airmatic compressor.

Have you checked for air leaks at Xentry? Check the compression once.

No I do not have it working yet but I will try that as soon as I can.

I have tested it yesterday and no leaks found, could it be the compressor as it is an aftermarket one?

The airmatic has an air filter purge mode. This is when air from the system is released back into the air filter. This is normal.

Tks I changed the filter and relay too. When I installed the new compressor with the original one I never noticed the air sound.
