W222 from US to EU

I have done a conversion from US to EU W222. The road sign assistant does not work and I have no connection with the head unit. Is it possible to fix this with an EU maps update?

No, you need to change the serial number to HU, reflash, code and after that everything will work fine.

You can use MBTools to purchase the code. Download the maps using the map download tool on this forum. Create a USB stick and install the maps using the USB and the code from MBTools.

What do you mean when you say you have no connection with the head unit?
The road sign should be fine, no conversion is required to load EU maps.
