I want to install Distronic system on my W246 2017. What do I need to do?

I think you need to change the steering column module and Distronic radar + coding.

Is windshield replacement and lane keeping necessary?

You need to buy a Distronic module, bracket, front sprocket with logo for DTR, steering column module with DTR, do some wiring and coding of some ECUs, calibrate and done. Good luck!
