Of course, if they are real (official) Mercedes-Benz dealers, then they can and should have the appropriate equipment for this. But in most cases they are too lazy to do it. Ask them again gently and tell them that you have some issues with the current software regarding stability/reliability ;)

Android Auto and CarPlay can only work with this head unit via WIRED connection, NOT wireless connection.

Thank you. Well. I didn't get anything out of them. I ordered Tactrix Openport 2.0 and will install Xentry Passthru. Hopefully I can get the NTG version from here and then use the ENET cable and DTS Monaco and flash the firmware if needed.

Here is my VIN number: WDDTG5CB4GJ268742

Flash 1769027702, 2469023004 with ENET, DOIP. Then try to unlock the coding with DTS Monaco.

Thanks skytan. I have DTS Monaco. I think I need "HU5S1.smr-d". I can't find that file, so I guess I need to download the 100GB Project files to get it? Learning a lot.

EDIT: I see I can get SMR-D files from Xentry.

My friend, it is a complicated process to flash NTG5S2 units, especially if you do not have the knowledge and skills. You will need some kind of DOIP interface to be able to flash it, and it is a risky process. I suggest finding someone in your area who can help you with the update and subsequent coding.

You don't need to download this package for 1 file. Use SW Finder from this thread.

Yes, thank you. I got the firmware but I was referring to the "HU5S1.smr-d" file. There are some good step by step tutorials on Youtube on how to do this, however they all seem to be for the DTS 8.xxx version, as opposed to the version available here which is DTS 9.xx.

I get it. I spent most of the day trying to get DTS to work. Finally got it working, this is version 9 and all the step by step instructions on how to do what I needed were for version 8 :(

With older units like NTG5, NTG 5.5 I had the best experience using DTS Monaco 8.14 with ENET cable. I advise you to first configure everything correctly and select static IPv4 in the network settings, then your DOIP device should be available in DTS Monaco 8. Then you can flash your HU5.
