Since this winter, the instrument panel on my Audi A4 B4 won't turn on at all. The problem started back in the fall when it switched between reset and power on modes. But after a few miles everything started working. It may be a problem with capacitors that have dried out over more than 20 years.
Can anyone help me?

I don't know if they've gone crazy with this model, I'm guessing you have a 2003 A4 B6? Unfortunately, they break quite often, and if you know how to handle them yourself, you can fix it. Otherwise, there are companies that do this and you get a guarantee on the work.

This is a 2000 A4 B5 and the instrument cluster is from Jaeger. At this point, I have come to the conclusion that the processor is most likely the main cause. Last week I replaced all the aluminum SMD capacitors, but the problem persists. Now I'm trying to find a VDO cluster on eBay, hoping the quality will be better.
Is there a way to read the immobilizer code from Jaeger?
I have a VCDS diagnostic system, but unfortunately it cannot extract the immobilizer code. The car is equipped with version 3 immobilizer.
VAG EEPROM Programmer is only useful for VDO cluster version.

If you have Immo 3, then the VIN number is in the ECU and cluster, and the same VIN is in the EEPROM of the ECU and cluster EEPROM.
Or do you have a dashboard with a small LCD display, made by Jaeger Magneti Marelli, as I know there is a Motorola chip inside, it can be read with VAG TACHO? Have you tried VAG TACHO?
And do you know you can change your immobilizer at VCDS? Take a look at this.

This is a cluster with a small LCD display and a digital clock made by Jaeger. There is a sticker on the microcontroller, I could only read the first letter - M, it is probably a Motorola chip.
I read on some forums that VAG TACHO does not support Jaeger units, so I did not buy SW.
Do you have a guide on how to replace the immobilizer in VCDS? Is this possible without knowing the old Immo code?

Thanks for the video link.
How do I get login PIN codes? What software is suitable for this?

I think VAG TACHO is the best, but you can try VAG Commander if you want.

Will I also need the old login for the cluster?
Where can I download VAG TACHO and VAG Commander?

I don't know where.
