You can use ODIS online to adapt used transmissions, but VAG has started to crack down on illegal adaptations and now many immobiliser related units (mostly just IPC at the moment, but I've also been asked to authorise engine, transmission and BCM2) require you to email Audi's used parts department who have to authorise it first before you can do the adaptation, but they usually respond within 24-48 hours so it's not a huge delay.
