CarPlay Track Data in Instrument Cluster

I have an android head unit in my 2008 GL. When using the “iPod” app to play music from an iPhone/iPod over USB, it displays the track names in the “AUDIO” menu of the instrument cluster just like the original COMAND radio and allows me to skip tracks from the steering wheel. It also does the same thing for FM and AM radio. Since the android is clearly able to send text to the cluster over CANBUS, is there a way to do this from CarPlay or Bluetooth? It would also be nice to see phone call information in the “TEL” menu during calls. The radio is running Android 9, and the car is coded for COMAND with navigation.

Depending on the type of phone, are you able to run two bluetooth connections at once? One going to the car to show the song data, but the audio output just to the CarPlay.
