The driver's seat of my 2007 CL203 C180 coupe is stuck in the driving position. I can only tilt it forward by pressing hard on it from above and pulling the latch at the same time. The car has three doors, and there is no access to the rear seats from the driver's side. So far I have come to the conclusion that the problem is most likely in the cables on the back of the seat, they are either too tight or too loose. I looked into the issue and it looks like the cables need adjustment. However, while models like the W203 and some others have octagonal tips in the middle of the cable that are used for adjustment (they should be turned clockwise and counterclockwise), my car has nothing like that (photo of cables inside the seat is attached). I believe the cable in question runs down the center, from the top right corner (where the latch is) to the bottom left corner (where I believe the seat is stuck). I haven't removed the seat cover yet, not sure if that will help (if there is a cable tensioning mechanism).
Does anyone know how (where) the tension of this cable is adjusted?
