CLA 117 2014 Distronic vs. Collision Prevention System

I just bought a 2014 Mercedes-Benz 45 AMG 117. The previous owner installed the AMG-Line bumper, and I'm trying to restore the original look and functionality.
I currently have the A0009001608 radar sensor (looks like a black eye dome) and a flat Mercedes-Benz star badge without the radar sensor (looks like A00090063014 would fit here).

According to VIN/FIN I have:

239 - ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL PRO (DISTRONIC PRO)
299 - PRESAFE

Currently, the Distronic system sometimes works and sometimes doesn't.
My first question. If I have one radar, do I need another? Does each one perform a specific function or do they work together?
Second question. If I leave everything as is with this radar, will I be able to install a regular, non-flat, MB star badge and will the Distronic system still work?

So, in your photo, the mount is broken, and the radar is installed crookedly. Simply place the original symbol in front of the radar.

The CPA sensor is completely different and is mounted at the bottom of the bumper.
The Distronic/ECU sensor is located behind the sprocket/closed sprocket, not the open one...
