I bought a copy of Openport 2.0 from AliExpress which can work online to code my W177 car. Everything went smoothly with Xentry. It took me some time to get it to work with DTS Monaco 9.02 but I did it. However it does not work properly with DTS Monaco. IC177 (instrument cluster) was coded without problems, the rest of the modules were not coded. For example I wanted to code HU6, I coded it, did not get any errors, but no changes happened. Also when I want to scan all modules with DTS Monaco, it scans until 6% and then gives an error that Openport connection is lost. I think the Openport I bought is broken. Why nothing changed in HU6? Which Openport device should I buy from AliExpress? If I buy an ENET cable instead of Openport, will I be able to code with DOIP?

By the way, the problem is solved. With DTS Monaco 8.16 all codings worked fine. If someone encounters such a problem as I did, you can install DTS Monaco 8.16 and solve the problem.
Openport 2.0 clones are not very reliable, I read a lot about them dying after 2-3 successful flashes, from different people. For peace of mind, you can buy the original. Usually they die due to overvoltage, overheating, poor build quality, etc. I suspect that you have the same problem.

Short answer. What is a Tactrix Openport 2.0 clone? Transparent case, gold PIN, black PCB, has a SD card slot (writes logs if needed, otherwise useless), usually sold with a tag "Full chip, new version". This can be improved by replacing the 6 resistors to enable network connection, otherwise the network connection will destroy the device.

There is a blog post that might be helpful, you can find it by searching on Google: "How to choose the right Tactrix Openport 2.0 J2534 clone". And there is another blog post: "How to modify a Tactrix Openport 2.0 clone to enable network connection?"

Thanks for the information. I returned the device yesterday.

I want to buy an ENET cable and code with it. Is the ENET cable compatible with the W177? Is there any ENET cable you recommend me or what should I pay attention to before buying?

For me online coding is not important, I still want to code offline. But I don't understand why HU6 coded but returned to the old settings without any changes.

Can I do the coding with any OBD device that supports J2534? For example, GODIAG GD101? From what I have seen, this device is original and from what is written on it, it is compatible with Mercedes vehicles.

I read that in some cars with ENET cable coding is not possible, so is it possible to buy the device I wrote about above?

Just look for a quality ENET cable, a quality RJ45 connector and a quality OBD2 connector, it is not Openport, it does not have complex components.
You can even assemble it yourself.
But I don't know if W177 is compatible with ENET.

Is it possible to code all ECUs using ENET cable?
