Has anyone done any research recently on a reliable pricing interface for using ODIS/ODIS-E?
I've spent several nights browsing the site from A to Z and still can't figure out which one works and which version to avoid.
Some say "this is the best", others rate it as "sucks". Genuine chips, genuine this and that, but do they actually work?

VNCI, VXI, VXDIAG, 6154A clones etc.

Does anyone have experience using red VNCI with paid updates?
Please leave your experience, thanks!

VXDIAG is a great tool, but it has some limitations with ODIS-E.
I spent time searching and testing some replica tools with some chip variants and then came to a conclusion.

AMB3200 chip is the most compatible chip for encoding and other tasks with service or engineer, including flash memory. I also tested J2534 chip, but the results are not the same as ODIS-E 14.
VNCI is good, but not very reliable.

What do you mean by "VNCI with paid updates"?
I've been using VNCI for a year now, everything works great, no additional drivers required, just plug and play. I have not tested it on earlier versions, but with the latest ODIS-S and ODIS-E it works great.

VXDIAG works great.

Some VNCI vendors sell an interface that includes 12 months of updates (firmware updates) and a year for about $20-30 "on the second hand market".
Not sure if I should post links here, but if you go to AliExpress you'll see it. There are also vendors offering "free updates" until about 2030.
Maybe I'll try the red VNCI, it's about $100 and even if it doesn't work it won't be a big loss.

I bought the red VNCI 6154A, very easy to use, ODIS connected to it straight away, delivered next day from UK, £89. No problems so far, firmware is easily updated via the manager.

I have been using VNCI 6154A (red) for several months now and it works without any problems.

I used VXDIAG with ODIS. I do not use ODIS-E. Without proper connection to VW servers I cannot code. No matter what VCI I use, VXDIAG is great for simple diagnostics.
