I'm feeling a bit frustrated and hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
2014 S550 W222. Error NRC=0 when saving. DTS Monaco. HLI and HU5. Openport.

I tried:
- Key in ignition 1, 2, car on.
- Opening of EIS222 at the same time.
- SMR-D with DTS 9 (NRC=0), DTS 8 (NRC=0) neither HLI nor HU5 passed.
- CBF with Vediamo (it just disconnects from VCI) failed to do HLI, but worked for HU5!

Thanks for any advice.

Your files may be out of date, try using a newer file or click "Extended Session" for each control unit.

You can try to enable "Extended Session" and also try to find a way to unblock either "diagnosklemmen" (diagnostic firewall) or "Security Access" function in "Generic Jobs". Hope this helps.

So for the HLI files it turned out that the light switch was not set to "Auto" and everything was recorded fine with Vediamo. I never managed to get it to work with DTS Monaco, but that might be because DTS Monaco uses SMR-D and Vediamo uses CBF for that car series folder (I use the file collection available on that site).

Don't use CBF for W222, always use latest SMR-D files from Xentry folder.

Is it best practice to update project folder files with SMR-D and CBF from the latest Xentry version (if the names and extensions are the same)?
I think there was some Python code somewhere that could be run that would update the project folders like this (if I find it, I can attach it here).

Sometimes I like to keep my own collections of old SMR-D and CBF rather than overwriting the files in the project folder, just in case.
Sometimes new files remove certain commands/permissions. It's good to have a backup/collection.
However, I am constantly updating the EZS files and adding new parts for MY20+ cars.

I agree, I've often found that older versions of SMR-D and CBF have many different variant codes available compared to newer versions, so it's handy to keep multiple versions of these files. Found on W166, W205 and W167.
