Feeling a bit frustrated and hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

IS:
2014 S550 W222
NRC=0 error on saving
DTS Monaco: HLI and HU5
Using OpenPort

IS NOT:
Reading
Other Modules
Vediamo (for HU5 but still has issue HLI)

I HAVE TRIED:
- key in ignition 1, 2, car on
- Opening EIS222 at same time
- SMRD: DTS 9 (NRC=0), DTS 8 (NRC=0) fails both HLI and HU5
- CBF: Vediamo using CBF (it just disconnects VCI) failed HLI BUT It worked for HU5!

Thank you for any guidance

maybe your files are old, try a newer file. or try to click extended session for each control unit

Hey o_Rage_o, as eng.aws mentioned you can try to enable extended session as well as try to find a way to unlock either diagnosklemmen (diagnosis firewall) or under "generic jobs" the "security access" feature. Hope this helps.

So for the HLI files - it ended up being the Light switch not on "Auto" and it seemed to write ok using Vediamo. Never did get it to work using DTS, but perhaps because DTS may have been using an SMR-D and vediamo was using the CBF for that car series folder (I'm using the files collection available on this website).

Thanks for taking the time to reply to you both eng.aws and karone!

Dont use CBF for W222, always use the latest SMR-D files from the xentry SMRX folder

Thank you!

Is it best practice to update your project folder files with the SMRds and CBFs from the newest Xentry (if the names and extensions are matches)?

I think there was some python code that you could run that would update projects folders this way that was floating around (and if I find I could attach it here)

I sometimes like keeping my own collections of older SMR-d's and CBF's -rather than overwrite the project folder files - just in case. Sometimes newer files remove certain commands / permissions. Good to keep a backup/ collection.

Nonetheless, I'm always updating EZS files, and certain new parts for MY20+ vehicles.

I agree, I've often found many different variant codes are available on older SMR-d and CBF versions compared to new versions so handy to keep multiple versions of these files. Found this on W166, W205 and W167.
