It drives me crazy.

2007 Mercedes-Benz E550
WDBUF72X57B061425

The car has been idle for the last six months because I had to replace the entire suspension and steering system - air struts, air springs, all levers, rods, bushings, etc. I also reupholstered the entire interior.
Now that that's done I had a few trouble codes to deal with, mostly things like initializing etc.

However, the ESP/ABS are on because I have a code 5120 B24/6 - right rear body acceleration sensor signal error. Okay, I thought I had disabled something. The problem is that this sensor doesn’t seem to be there at all. I can’t find it. WIS says it’s in the right rear wheel arch. There are two studs there to mount the sensor, but neither the mount nor the sensor are there. And never have been. I took apart the entire trunk, but I couldn’t find it there either. I took the back seat off and looked under it. Nothing.

Does anyone know where this sensor is and what happens to it?

B24/6 - Right rear body acceleration sensor, this is the air suspension sensor. Do you have an ESP or Airmatic error? Is your car not an AMG? These sensors were installed according to the wiring diagram prior to 05/05. Maybe something happened with the coding? Nothing changed in EZS and CGW?

It's not the air suspension level sensor. I have the ESP in the dash. It's an E550 with Airmatic, not an AMG. The only thing I changed in the CGW was to install Bi-Xenon headlights, but I don't think that has anything to do with it.

Did you change only the configuration or the production date in CGW? The errors are visible in ESP.

Look at this.

I didn't change the production date, but I'll double check CGW.
Model year was not set in CGW. I fixed the error, but the DTC remains.

I never updated it. You were on the right track. The problem was incorrect SCN coding in my ECU, which I replaced just before starting the suspension work.
