In theory this should be possible, but in reality everything is different.
I have a custom engine ECU that I made and I want to pair it with a suitable custom TCU Map, but I don't know what the BEST approach is.
This is a 5-speed Mercedes-Benz - EGS.
I want to take a standard Map from another model of the same EGS control unit and insert it into this one.
I've found tools online to merge CFF, but I can't pinpoint which data is the TCU Map. I know that tools like WINOLS and ECM can read or even identify Maps from BIN, but I don't have the software and I doubt the cracked versions, checksums and all that stuff that I don't know anything about.
Some of you may be wondering why I don't just flash the vanilla CFF, but that won't work in my custom configuration.
So can anyone help identify the Maps if I provide the data? Or suggest another way? There are tools on the Internet for flashing TCU, but there are none for my application.
