My E350 2014 headlight was damaged by water. I bought the headlight module and installed it but the daytime running lights turn off as soon as I start the engine. If to swap the modules, the headlight works fine. I bought another module, but the problem is the same again. And I bought another used original one and this time instead of the daytime running lights the turn signal was on and instead of the turn signal the daytime running lights were flashing.

Today I noticed that the left and right headlight modules have different hardware and software numbers.
The left one works fine (4406-4408). I recently bought the right one (2501-5403), but on the module it was written (4406-4408). Now I'm confused. I think I need a real one (4406-4408). First of all, are these numbers actual values, right? Does anyone know? Maybe it's a stored value.

Is it possible to update the software of these modules?
I get the following error. Is Xentry which we downloaded here capable of updating software?

This is possible with XENTRY if you have the original version with an online account.

Based on your VIN, the headlight control unit should be the same for both left and right sides.
First of all, I see in the pictures that one is B11 and the other is B15, so you may have problems connecting them because B15 is newer than B11, and also the code of the headlight control unit you need is not suitable for this car. By VIN number, you can order A2129005424 or A2189007306.
Have you tried moving the coding from the left side to the right? And were QR codes injected into the headlight?
Maybe you can fool the right one, I had a similar problem with a W156, I took the right headlight control unit, installed it on the left, programmed and coded it, then installed it back on the right, everything still works fine.

I don't know what to do because the left module works perfectly on the right headlight. The number, as you said, is A2129005424.
Hardware number is 4406, software number is 4008. I bought the same module on eBay A2129005424, hardware number 4406 and software number 4008. But after installation Xentry shows me different numbers as you can see. I bought three different modules. Each time removing the bumper and installing it is a very painstaking job. I will try to buy used again because I don't trust aftermarket modules anymore. I buy the right module but it's actually different. I even tried using one of them and the daytime running light and turn signal swapped.

I will try to read both left and right QR codes and try both, but as you can see, the modules are different.
