My car is a 2013 Mercedes-Benz W176 A180 CDI. It doesn't have the BAS PRO system. It only has the FCW radar (forward collision warning).
A few years ago, I converted the monochrome dashboard to a color one using parts from a donor AMG car. Someone else did it for me back then. Everything works perfectly: no common errors, the odometer displays correctly, and the dashboard behaves normally. However, I have one annoying problem.

When I encounter error codes related to BAS PRO activation, I need to reset the steering wheel angle data. The error codes are as follows:

  • C371100
  • C326300
  • C120400

Essentially, the steering angle data is distorted, causing the steering wheel to pull to the right. If I reset the data, everything works fine again, as long as no new error codes appear.
I suspect there may be some remaining incorrect code entries related to the enabled BAS PRO feature, even though my car doesn't have it. I checked IC172, which is likely where the person who programmed the instrument cluster made changes, but I didn't find anything obvious.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
I have Openport and Vediamo available.
