I tried to replace the ZGW Q1 module with a Q2 via DAS (available in offline mode), but it does not connect to the car, although the instructions say to replace the old module with a new one. I also tried to connect without renewing ZGW, but it also doesn't respond. Tried with two different versions of ZGW and the problem remains the same. Do I need to connect an additional 120 Ohm resistor?

If you're connecting to a car, resistors aren't needed. Check ZGW compatibility with your vehicle using the VIN and basic parameters, such as power and communication.

I used CarProg to replace my ZGW with a used one. I cloned the entire dataset from my ZGW to the used one. Everything worked perfectly.

I only have the C4 Star Diagnosis system and the Q2 ZGW is a newer 2006 model and I need to install it in a 2004 car because I added some new options and they will only work with the Q2.

If you're installing a new module, does the DAS system diagnose it? If not, it's likely simply a faulty module, diagnostics are needed. If so, try replacing it with a new (virgin) one.

The module started working after connecting a 120 Ohm resistor.

Please check the CAN bus. I think there's a short circuit in the car's CAN bus. Try disconnecting all the wires and leaving only one connection from the OBD2 to the CGW. Hope this helps.
