I am thinking about retrofitting an alarm on my BMW E93 335i.
Is there a recommended way to do this?
Is it better to install the original system?

Depends on the car itself. Cars made after 2009 no longer have pre-wired. I drove my 12/09 car with an additional alarm and remote start.

My car was manufactured in September 2012.
Do I need any parts to retrofit the alarm?
My chassis number is E668987.

Based on your VIN it doesn't have pre-wired for a stock alarm, an aftermarket alarm would be best. I can provide you with a diagram if needed.

Thank you very much!
This helped me a lot.

I would also appreciate it if you could recommend any aftermarket alarm systems suitable for the E93.
I hope that this version will also be available in Japan.

Do you need a remote start? Or just a security alarm? I installed a Compustar remote start on my 2010 E93.

This is a wonderful proposal, but this time I would like to focus only on the alarm system.
I feel that I still do not have enough knowledge to integrate the remote engine start.

I know some suppliers in China also sell plug and play devices.
