Coding 722.9 for Starting in 2nd Gear

Can anyone tell me how to code the VGS4NAG2 722.9 so the car starts in 2nd gear? Mine always starts in 1st. I would like to change it like my older models to start in 2nd gear. The E/C position always starts in 1st gear.

Yes, it is enabled.

Set the gear selector to the "S" position to start moving in 1st gear. Set the gear selector to the "W" or "E" position to start moving in 2nd gear.

The car is in position "E" but still starts off in 1st gear.

My engine ECU is CRD 3.10 and gearbox is VGS4NAG2.

Are you sure about this? Have you checked the actual DAS/XENTRY values?

Yes, 100%, my grandfather has the same car and he has the same situation.

If I don't come to a complete stop it will stay in 2nd gear, but if I come to a complete stop it will go to 1st gear.

What is the advantage of starting in 2nd gear from dead stop? Just curious.
