Communication Error with ME 2.8

I was wondering if anyone had any problems communicating with ME? I get an error message saying "Communication Error 8.594.2115" and then another message saying "Communication software error". All other modules I tried work fine. Sometimes it gives a third error. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I also use Tactrix Openport 2.0 Passthru and 12.2023 XPT.

Are you trying to change the coding of the ME 2.8 unit? First, unlock the coding unit and be sure to do everything with the ignition on, the engine off and the charger connected! Typically, these errors occur when a block/unit refuses to fulfill a request.

No, I'm not trying to change the coding. I'm actually just trying to get into the module to read the codes and see the data. No special functions or coding are required. I'm sure I'll use it for that purpose someday, but right now I'm just trying to get DAS to work properly after a fresh install.

Openport does not work correctly via DAS with some units on older cars. To check, connect to ME 2.8 via Vediamo 4.0 with Openport.

Have you tried changing the interface? I think the problem is in Tactrix.

I didn't do this simply because it's the only interface I have at the moment. Well, technically I have a Star C3 multiplexer, but I've never been able to get it to work. However, I'm almost certain you're right, it's the Tactrix interface.
