Just a question or observation that I observed using 8 and 9 versions of the files (both with software version 9.0.2).
In my case, 8 worked better than 9 (for the same controller e.g. HERMES communication unit).
By "better" I mean without any errors or hints.
Are there differences in 8 and 9 files for the same controller? Which version is safe to use for E-Class 2017?

The projects are the same for DTS 8 and 9, but can be customized for 9 to avoid errors.
Newer = does not mean better.

I added the extracted folders and moved them to the "DTSProjects" folder, but they didn't show up as openable. What am I doing wrong?

There are 2 "DTSProjects" folders in (C:\ProgramData\Softing\Diagnostic Tool Set):

1. DTSProjects
2. DTSProjects_Daimler

The 2nd one is the default location.

You have 2 options:

A. Change default location.

1. Open DTS Monaco
2. Click Administrate and manage DTS projects
3. Click on system settings
4. Click on directories (left tab)
5. Click on " in the Project path row
6. Go back 1 time
7. Select "DTSProjects_Daimler"
8. Save

B. Move projects from (C:\ProgramData\Softing\Diagnostic Tool Set\DTSProjects) to (C:\ProgramData\Softing\Diagnostic Tool Set\DTSProjects_Daimler).

I decided to use solution B, but the folder structure is different! I have: (C:\ProgramData\Softing\DTS9\DTSProjects) which has 3 example folders that came with the installation.
There is no "DTSProjects" folder in the folder (C:\ProgramData\Softing\Diagnostic Tool Set), there is only a "Common" folder. I'll try the first option and post the result.

You can put the projects in the folder you want, then you just need to go to the DTS Configurator and select where the projects are and that's it.

The first two are a set of projects for these models, they are more versatile than the other two.
The 1st is FL, the 2nd is PFL, the 3rd and 4th are equivalent to the 2nd, they differ only in the set of projects.
