I have a Mercedes CLS (2013) NTG4.7. The system has a Mercedes Online function, which has online applications and options for connecting to the network. I haven't been able to connect to this service yet and I'm wondering if there are any useful apps or features other than online radio stations that people still use in 2024?
I was looking for a way to use my Android phone to create an internet hotspot using mobile data and it turns out it uses the outdated DUN Bluetooth profile. I tried the BlueDUN+ Android app from the Play Store but couldn't connect. It appears that data is being sent and received, but times out after about 30 seconds.
Can anyone recommend an alternative software or has anyone had similar experience with BlueDUN+ and knows how to get it working? Or is the Mercedes Online feature so useless in this day and age that it's not worth wasting your time on?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
