I have an E350 and when I try to park I hear this metallic ticking sound when I turn the steering wheel. It can only be heard when the windows are down. What could this mean?

Additional information would be helpful. Does this happen when moving forward/backward and braking? Does this only happen when turning the steering wheel left or right and to what extent?
I would definitely lift the car up and try checking the joints, brakes, etc. as a first step.

This happens when I turn the steering wheel. Sound is present both in and out of movement. The brake does not affect the noise. I will publish the video.

Are the stabilizer struts worn out?

It could be a worn or damaged CV joint, a faulty steering component, or even debris in the wheel. And does this happen at some point when you turn the steering wheel?

These could be wishbones or coupling rods.
Otherwise - shock absorbers or springs.

This is a possible reason.

If you have checked all the front suspension rods and bushings, the problem may be in the steering gear itself.
