Hello folks, I have a E350 and when I try to park I hear this metallic ticking noise when I turn the steering wheel. It can only be heard with the windows down. What could it mean?

Some additional information would be helpful, does this happen when you move forward/backward and brake? Does this only happen when turning the steering wheel left or right and to what extent?
I would definitely lift the car and try to check joints, brakes and etc as a first step.

This happens when I turn the steering wheel. The sound is still there in motion and without. The brake does not affect the noise. I will publish a video.

Are the stabilizer links worn out?

It could be a worn or damaged CV joint, a faulty steering component, or even debris in the wheel. And does this happen at some point in the steering range?

These could be wishbones or coupling rods.
Otherwise shock absorbers or springs.

This is a possible reason.

If you have checked all the front suspension links and bushings, the problem may be in the steering mechanism itself.
