Yes, after activation with a special USB adapter, you will be able to use Android Auto in full screen mode.
We are currently not conducting any activations. We are developing a new activation method for mass use. Now there is no need to perform any manipulations with the device itself.
All you need is a Windows computer, a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W or Raspberry Pi 5, an ENET cable, and a WiFi network.
The whole procedure will be much faster and easier.

For those who have FUB2 installed, does it take 3 hours to update the firmware including license unlock? Or 3 hours to update the firmware and 1 hour to unlock the license?

I don't know if you can answer this question, but does updating the firmware or unlocking the license result in the loss of previously installed activations (such as driving modes or augmented reality activated after purchase)?

Sorry, I don’t know what FUB2 is.
We provide services that apply only to MBUX (the head unit / vehicle infotainment system).

In the second part of your message, you mention "driving modes or augmented reality". This partially relates to MBUX licenses. No, those licenses are not lost - additional licenses are simply added on top of the existing ones.

Regarding the unit update: we believe we explained this quite clearly.
The activation itself takes up to one hour if your unit already has the latest FreshUp 4 (FU4) firmware.

If your firmware version is different, the update process may take up to 3 hours (or even longer if you have a slow internet connection).
License activation is not included in this time. The 3 hours is an average (approximate) duration based on our experience and the Internet connections of our previous clients.

I performed the entire activation process using Hop6uK. The entire process took quite a while, as my head unit was running a fairly old version of FU 3.4, and updating to FU4 took us about four hours.

I don't have access to the Internet at home, so I had to use a 5G router to download the necessary update files. Otherwise, license activation would have taken about 30 minutes.

Overall, everything went perfectly, and please follow Hop6uK 's instructions exactly, otherwise the whole process will take even longer.

A: No. During activation the device is switched to offline mode. Using the
internet on your MBUX will only be possible via tethering from a mobile
phone.

I'm asking here because it might be useful to others as well.
Does MBUX go into offline mode only during activation, or does it remain offline even after the licenses have been activated?
