Already replaced the fuel volume control valve. Same problem. While driving, the heater indicator suddenly came on and the car went into limp mode/stalled.
I've already checked the fuel pressure readings. They're normal. The high-pressure pump has already been inspected and serviced. After servicing all the injectors, the problem is solved, but there's still a knocking noise.
If everything has been thoroughly checked, all that's left to do is disassemble the engine and inspect the pistons. Knocking and fluid consumption most likely indicate mechanical problems.
Are you sure the noise is coming from the engine, and not the transmission or final drive (or even the driveshaft or axle joints)? Knocking can mean many things.
