W166, 2016. Vibrations start at 120 km/h, increase at 130 km/h and decrease slightly after 140 km/h.
All wheels checked and adjusted. Not because of the wheels.
I suspect it's the torque converter.
Any ideas on what to check?

Faults that are highly speed dependent are most likely related to the wheels or tires. Check the wheels for dents and chips, as well as repaired punctures in the tires.
The speeds you indicated tell me the problem is in the rear tires or wheels, not the front.
To test this, you can swap the rear wheels with the front ones and drive the car. If the vibrations start at around 85 km/h, this may indicate that the problem is in the front wheels. Typically, wheel runout at speeds of around 85 km/h means it is at the front, and at speeds of 120 km/h or more it means it is at the rear.

It's likely that one of your tires has a deformed tread.

Oddly enough, I had a similar problem after replacing my brake pads. I changed the pads and everything went away.

At a speed of 120 km/h there are always problems with the wheels: poor balancing or deformation of the rims.

A few years ago I had a similar problem with my W209. All the wheels, rims and steering were out of alignment, the vibration was coming from the control arms and tie rods. I changed both and everything went away.

Makes sense.
Two shops tried to adjust the wheels and they succeeded. But they said they suspected Chinese wheels.
I'll find some used 20" wheels and update the info.
I changed the pads, it didn't help.

In the W209, a common cause is the tie rods, for some reason they are weaker than previous generations.

This is a W166. No problems with replacement, just got a pair from Amazon.

Balancing your tires won't do your chassis any good in the long run, but if you have bad or cheap tires, you may not be able to balance them. If the rims have been painted and have had a lot of metal removed, this could also mean that the rims are faulty.
