I have a W176 Mercedes A45, 2016 car with NTG 5.1 and Harman Kardon. The amplifier failed, the circuit board is broken. I fitted a used replacement but have no sound still and also faults for SOS on dashboard, as well as no DAB.
Can anyone confirm if these units are coded? Original part number is A 218 901 76 00.

I think you have code 810?
Yes, the amplifier needs to be read with Star Diagnosis/Xentry, replaced and then initialized.

Yes I have the 810 code, just checked the VIN Spec!
Thanks for getting back to me. I am new to Mercedes, always done VW/Audi coding before.
Can this be done with DTS? And can you advise where I can find ar82.62-p-7720nkb?
Thanks a lot!

Since DTS Monaco can code/change anything in MB ECU, you can of course do it.
But no ordinary workshop can do this. For such changes, Xentry is used - replacing the ECU using the menu. You will find the specified document in the attachment.

The amplifier should work right away, you may have another module that is not working, causing a MOST open ring.

Thanks for this! I'm very new to DTS so I'll try to learn how to do this.
Do you have any information on what changes are needed?

This is an amplifier in a car.

Audio or Comand.
95A100 (B15A100) Login to server has failed. Current and stored.
D01800 (U101800) Most communication has a malfunction. There is an internal Electrical Fault. Current and stored.

When replacing the module, the description changed to (Ring break at position 1).

I have replaced lots of those amplifiers because of water damage, car manufacturers love to put amplifiers were they can get washed out when opening the trunk (BMW, Lexus I'm talking to you too).
Diagnosing the MOST via the diagnostic tool is a bit tricky since the fiber optic is a ring and the gateway is the head unit as it is the only one with CAN communication on the ring, to me it's easier to visually inspect the modules (shine a light on the fiber optic connector and a red light should blink) also the amplifier has a yellow LED inside that will indicate the status of the MOST bus. Will stay solid if the ring is complete, the LED can be seen through the holes on the heatsink (see photo).

Thank you krugger! Do you know if these amplifiers will need any form of coding or programming when replaced? The SOS fault only comes up on the dashboard when the replacement amplifier is fitted. And there is no radio available either with the new amplifier fitted.
